1. Acceptance

By using PrivacyScore (privacyscore.com.au), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. What PrivacyScore is

PrivacyScore is a self-assessment tool that helps Australian businesses evaluate their readiness for the reformed Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and generate a Privacy Policy document. It is an educational tool — not a formal audit, legal certification, or compliance guarantee.

3. Not a substitute for professional advice

PrivacyScore provides general information and a custom privacy policy document. It does not constitute professional legal or compliance advice. For formal legal compliance, engage a qualified privacy lawyer or consultant.

4. Your responsibilities

• Answer assessment questions honestly to receive meaningful results
• Review and adapt the generated privacy policy before publishing it
• Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service

5. Payments and refunds

• Privacy Policy Generator: $49 AUD one-time payment
• 7-day refund if you haven't generated your policy yet
• No refunds after policy generation — the document is immediately available
• Payments processed securely by Stripe

6. Intellectual property

The generated privacy policy document is yours to use in your business. PrivacyScore retains rights to the assessment framework, scoring methodology, and platform.

7. Limitation of liability

PrivacyScore is provided "as is". We are not liable for any regulatory penalties, breaches, or losses arising from your use of or reliance on this tool. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
